Brand treatment for a small bookstore named after the owner’s childhood cat.

The ideation phase.

The process began with a series of sketches of different variations of the letter M, with the cat illustration evolving to become the logo and centerpiece for the brand. Once the logo was added to the exterior of the bookshop the brand really began to come to life. After the logo was in place, I developed a series of illustrations and icons centered around the beauty of nature to evoke the feelings of whimsy that accompany reading in the outdoors

Production phase.

The initial illustrations evolved into patterns for the merchandise, with the patterns interacting in different formats to round out the branding.
